Description: This is a copy of a photograph from the National Archives of Australia. On the ‘Destination Australia’ website, the image has this caption: ‘Little Brothers (from Britain) at BBM (Big Brother Movement; later known as British Boys Movement) War Memorial Training Farm Established in 1925 to assist young men from Britain to emigrate to Australia for rural occupations, the Big Brother Movement today places boys in commercial and industrial careers as well. Since the inception of the scheme, 5870 boys have come to Australia under this branch of the country’s assisted Immigration programme. The title board which stands at the gate of the farm’.

The text on the sign in this image says:
‘The Big Brother Movement of NSW War Memorial Training Farm’. This Training Farm has been established by members of the Big Brother Movement of New South Wales, as a memorial to the “Little Brothers” who gave their lives, for Australia, and the British Commonwealth of Nations whilst serving in the Australian and British fighting services in the war 1939 to 1945′.
