Description: ‘Sleeping-quarters for the first arrivals, 1913’ is a photograph showing a man and children standing in front of a row of open-air beds with small tents raised above them. These tent-beds were the sleeping arrangements for the first children arriving at Fairbridge, Pinjarra, presumably before dormitories had been constructed.
This image was printed in the book, Pinjarra: the building of a farm school by Ruby Fairbridge (p.66-67).
