In 1986 the Sydney Anglican Home Mission Society took over management of the Lisgar Hostel in Arncliff from the Church of England Deaconess Institute. It was a long term residential unit for girls aged 12 to 18. It was later run by Charlton Youth Services, later known as Anglicare Youth Services. In 1989 the Home moved from Arncliff to a property on Woronora Parade, Oatley. In 2001 the program moved to a rental property in Bonnet Bay for around a year and then transitioned into a non-residential youth support program in 2002.
Post-2002 the Lisgar program name still existed but did not provide residential care.
